大気負イオンによる有機化合物からの水素ラジカル引き抜き反応
It is known that hydrogen abstraction reaction, which is a trigger of oxidation reaction, causes aging, cancer, Alzheimer's disease in vivo. In this study, we have investigated the hydrogen abstraction reaction occurring between atmospheric negative ions CO₃・⁻ and organic compounds, using the atmospheric pressure corona discharge ionization mass spectrometer (APCDI-MS). In order to understand the mechanism of these reactions, selected seven samples (M) i.e., lactic acid, thiolactic acid, alanine, phenylalanine, tyrosine, valine, and isoleucine, were measured by APCDI-MS. The resulting ions [M+CO₃]・⁻ were fragmented by using collision-induced dissociation (CID) method. CID of [M+CO₃]・⁻ for lactic acid, thiolactic acid, alanine, valine and isoleucine gave not only deprotonated molecule [M-H]⁻ but also hydrogen-abstracted ions [M-H・+H]⁻ and [M-2H・+H]⁻. On the other hand, hydrogen-abstracted ions were not observed basically for phenylalanine and tyrosine. These results suggested that if hydrogen in M is abstracted from CO₃・⁻ depends upon its structure.
