Development and application of highly sensitive metabolomics analysis using LC/MS
(Kyushu Univ.)
oYoshihiro Izumi
I received my Ph.D. degree in engineering from the Graduate School of Engineering at Osaka Univ. in Mar. 2010. From Apr. 2010, I was a postdoctoral researcher at the Graduate School of Engineering, Kobe Univ., and from Apr. 2013, I was a special assistant professor at the Graduate School of Engineering, Osaka Univ. In Apr. 2015, I became an associate professor at the Medical Institute of Bioregulation, Kyushu Univ., where I am currently working. I have developed next-generation metabolomics measurement technologies, such as LC/MS-based single-cell metabolomics and bioactive metabolite discovery, while conducting basic and applied research on metabolism. I received an Encouragement Award for my research on “Development and application of highly sensitive metabolomics analysis using LC/MS".
