Mastering Metabolomic and Lipidomic Workflows: Strategies, Challenges, and Essential Tools

(1Waters Corp, 2Tsinghua Uni)
oJayne Kirk1, Zheng Ouyang2

Join Waters Luncheon at AOMSC 2025 to experience the future of time-of-flight instrumentation!

In the first part of the session, we'll delve into the advantages of multi-reflecting time-of-flight mass spectrometry in the realm of metabolomic, lipidomic and metabolite identification studies. Discover how the combination of high resolving power and sub-parts-per-million (ppm) mass accuracy, achieved irrespective of the acquisition rate, yields high-quality data that paves the way for outstanding science.

In the second part of the session, we'll push high through-put lipidomic analysis with the omega analyzer and dive into tools including ion mobility and imaging for spatial distribution and structural analysis of lipids.

Don't miss the chance to experience performance AND speed without compromise.

Speakers

Dr Jayne Kirk, Waters Corporation: Unveiling the Potential of Multi-Reflecting Time-of-Flight Mass Spectrometry in Metabolomic and Lipidomic Analyses

Prof Ouyang, Tsinghua University: High-throughput Lipidomics using Time-of-Flight Technology with Insight into Lipid Spatial Distribution and Structural Analysis using SELECT SERIES Cyclic IMS.
