A high resolution multi-turn time-of-flight mass spectrometer (MT TOF-MS) has been developed for analysis of large biomolecules. A unique three-dimensional rotational flight path and next-generation high-sensitivity technology achieves mass resolving power of 200k for high m/z peaks. This new system is particularly useful for native mass spectrometry, as its high resolution in high m/z range provides new information which cannot obtained with conventional system. In this study, we demonstrate the advantages of high-resolution in native mass spectrometry through analyses of membrane proteins and other large biomolecules.
