The Conference is organized under the auspices of the Mass Spectrometry Society of Japan and is co-sponsored by a number of Chemical Societies and Industries in Japan.
Within the multidisciplinary framework of the Conference,
(a) Oral/Poster Presentations on original research and applications
(b) Plenary/Award Lectures
(c) Symposiums/Workshops on selected topics
(d) Exhibition of software/instrumentation, services and materials
will be involved.

The Conference will cover topics of recent scientific and technological advances related to all aspects of mass spectrometry.

Official Language
Official language is Japanese.　 No official simultaneous translation in English will be offered.　 Submission and presentation for both the oral and the poster session welcome in English.

Book of Abstracts available
Almost 200 presentations are completely cited in total 441 pages.
Each presentatation consists of two pages' extended abstracts written also in English.
Figure captions are written in English.
From overseas, please send 50 US dollars (including mail cost per issue) to the conference office. Now 80 boooklets are still available.
From inlands, it costs 3,500 yen per issue including postal fee.

Submission of the oral/poster presentation: January 16th, 1999 (e-mail).
Submission of the extended abstract(2 page (A4 size)): March 13rd, 1999 (direct mail).
Reduced registration fee: before April 16th, 1999.　 Early registration is recommended.

Instruction for the Preparation of the Proceedings

The proceedings should be submitted in a camera-ready form.

The typescript should be prepared on an A4 paper or its equivalent paper within an area 17.0 cm (6.7 inches) x 25.5 cm (10 inches) with a single-column layout.

The text should be typed in English with 1.5 line space on two ges.

A times font (12 points) is recommended for the typescript.

On the top of page 1, the title (14 points) should be provided in bald capital typephase. After 1 line space, author's name (bald), affiliation, and addresses (12 points) should appear on separate lines. Main text (including figures and tables) should be written after 1 line space. All area (17 cm x 25.5 cm) should be used for main text on page 2.

Instruction for the Preparation of the Abstracts for Database Sheet

The abstracts should be prepared in a camera-ready form.

The typescript should be prepared on an A4 paper or its equivalent paper within an area 17.0 cm (6.7 inches) x 25.5 cm (10.0 inches) with a single-column layout.

The text should be typed in English with 1.5 line space on one page.

A times font (12 points) is recommended for the typescript.

On the top of page, After 3 lines space, the title, author's name, affiliation should appear on separate lines. Text should be written in about 120 to 150 words after 1 line space.

On the bottom of page, key words should appear (maximum 5 key words).
