Paleoenvironmental Reconstruction using Siderophile and Chalcophile Element Abundances

I briefly review paleoenvironmental reconstruction based on chemical compositions of trace elements such as siderophile and chalcophile elements. I also introduce the environmental perturbations at the Cretaceous-Paleogene boundary event as an example for paleoenvironmental reconstruction.
