13C-based metabolic flux analysis (13C-MFA) is an essential tool for estimating intracellular metabolic flux levels in metabolic engineering and biology. mfapy is an open-source Python package developed for more flexibility and extensibility in the data analysis of the 13C-based flux analysis. Instead of the command line-based or graphical interfaces employed by other software packages, mfapy compels users to make a customized Python script by describing each step in data analysis procedures of isotope labeling experiments as Python codes.
