Observation of Charged Nanodroplets by Ion Mobility and Investigation of Electrospray Ionization Processes
Electrospray Ionization (ESI) has been a major technique for the soft ionization. The ionization processes have been widely investigated and discussed through the standard model of production of charged nanodroplets. However, the droplets are unstable and difficult to measure directly by the standard measurement system such as mass spectrometer and microscopy. Here we present observation of charged nanodroplets from ESI by ion mobility spectrometry and investigation of ESI processes.
