SFE-SFC-FRCシステムを用いた超臨界二酸化炭素中での低分子化合物の溶解度測定法の開発
Supercritical carbon dioxide (SCCO2) is easy to handle, inexpensive, and has a low criticality temperature and pressure. Therefore, it is widely used in manufacturing processes in the chemical and food industries. The solubility of target compounds in SCCO2 is important for process design and efficiency improvement. However, conventional solubility measurement methods have many problems. In this study, we aimed to solve these problems and develop a new systematic solubility measurement method that is faster, simpler, and more accurate than conventional methods. In the measurement process, a supercritical fluid extraction-supercritical fluid chromatography-fraction collector (SFE-SFC-FRC) system is used. The system consists of two steps: an extraction step in which the target compound is dissolved in SCCO2 and extracted, and a concentration measurement step in which the concentration of the extracted solution is measured. The solubility is calculated from the concentration of the extract and the amount of SCCO2 flowed during the extraction. Anthracene was used as model substance. Various measurement conditions were established using it, and then the values measured by our method was compared with the literature values measured by the conventional method to confirm the accuracy and reproducibility of the system.
