電子励起解離 (EAD) 技術を用いた天然物、化成品の詳細解析
In mass spectrometry, dissociation techniques are essential for analyzing the structure of compounds. The Electron Activated Dissociation (EAD) is a technique that causes dissociation based on a principle different from conventional Collision Induced Dissociation (CID), and has the potential to analyze the structure of compounds that have been difficult to date. At last year's seminar, we introduced the differences between the unsaturated binding position of fatty acids, the identification of geometric isomers, and the binding position of sugars by dissociation using the EAD technique. Continuing from last year, we will present in detail how this dissociation by EAD contributes to structural analysis of natural products such as flavonoids.
