高分解能質量分析計によるPFASs分析の定量およびノンターゲットスクリーニング

Recently, detection of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) in the environment has become a global issue, but analytical methods to detect PFASs comprehensively and to discover unknown substances have not been generalized. The main objective of this presentation is to explore the quantification and non-target screening methods for PFASs analysis using a high-resolution mass spectrometer. In the screening and quantification of PFASs, one injection is necessary to confirm their fragmentation, while two injections (Target MS/MS and retrospective screening) are necessary for quantification with their transitions. On the other hand, non-target screening methods need to be investigated to comprehensively discover PFASs in the environment. In this presentation, we will introduce FluoroMatch 2.0 (FluoroMatch), a free and open software specialized to cover all steps of data processing for PFAS discovery in liquid chromatography–high-resolution tandem mass spectrometry samples. FluoroMatch based the characteristics of PFASs analysis results in these procedures. In this study, a high-resolution mass spectrometer was used to analyze two fire extinguishing foam agents. The measurement modes were Full Scan, Auto MS/MS (Data Dependent Acquisition), and Iterative MS/MS. We will present the results of analysis by Iterative MS/MS and Auto MS/MS using Preferred list for two types of fire extinguishing foams.
